FALL 2025

STUDENT PROJECT

Cookbook Publication

The goal of this self-initiated project was to create something of both portfolio-quality and personal interest, aimed at a chosen design studio or brand. I took inspiration from Good Chance Creative Agency in Bellingham, WA, specializing in photography, design, and social content creation.

I was particularly inspired by Good Chance’s photography style and wanted to challenge myself to improve my photography and editing skills through this project.

My main deliverable for this project was to photograph and design six meal spreads for a cookbook. This cookbook includes recipes that I personally use in my day-to-day life. All these recipes are easy to cook, quick to make, genuinely delicious, and good for you.

Additionally, I shot social video content, designed stickers, and built out a social presence for the project.

The focal point of this project highlights my own photography of each recipe. This project taught me how to shoot photography with a Canon camera, edit photos in Photoshop’s Adobe Camera Raw, and exercise my creative directing skills through displaying food, setting the table, and directing models.
